The spring run of shows started off with a long, but uneventful drive out to San Antonio for the annual Fiesta Arts Fair.  Put on by the Southwest School of Art, this little show has a dedicated following and a wonderfully supportive, family atmosphere.  During set-up I found out that the artist set up across from me was a great friend of mine from Crested Butte.  Spending time with the White family is always a treat, and this weekend was no exception.  We tracked down a great place for lunch, and negotiated the unpredictable weather as best we could.  The streets and back alleys of SA provide lots of glimpses into the working class past and the rich heritage that is so important to this city.  I discovered a new bike shop on South Flores.  Bottom Bracket Bicycle Shop is a true neighborhood hub,  with lots of  stoke and plenty of bicycle advocacy and community involvement to go around.  I also got to meet up with Brent and Vera Deckard.  In addition to catching up, we discussed plans to display some of my work in their newest venture, San Antonio Brewing Company.  I will keep you posted.
