There are lots of roads to be explored.  Some of the most rewarding are tucked in between here and there.  After a show in Crested Butte, I found myself with a few days of down time before the next weekend and with it, a show in Park City.  I headed west through the highlands of central Colorado and into the rock wonderland of Utah.  I drove north on 191 and passed through Price, and the bustle of Salt Lake City.  A good friend lives in Logan and I headed there for a couple of days to reconnect and unwind.  Logan is in the heart of the Cache Valley and is loaded with history, old farms and good people.

After my visit, I drove south towards Park City, along this track that winds through the mountains into the Ogden Valley.  I passed through Eden, and Huntsville, and along the shore of Pineview Reservoir.  Then on to Morgan and Henefer where the road again turns to dirt.  There are so many empty places in those hills.  Perfect turnouts with a view and streams with holes deep enough for a quick dip.  I want to go back for a week or two on my bike.  Truly a good place to slow down.
