Having a studio located in an old barn, down some rural ranch road, definitely has its perks: space to spread out, history, and lots of quiet time by myself. Visitors, although always a welcome treat, are rare. Having this guy and his family in town for a few days was a gift. Talking about parenting, travel, an eventual bike trip, and the vagaries of an artistic pursuit, kept us occupied and reminded me of how glad I am, that we are all in this together.
